Skye
Skye is our first Siberian husky. Anthony and I plan on getting a whole sled team. Well Anthony and I agreed that I could breed and take care of Husky's if he could do the same with his Rottweillers. Since I love Rott's I was very ok with that.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted a Husky. They are beautiful dogs. I decided I wanted an all white one with blue eyes because I thought that would be so cool. I don't even think I had ever even an all white one in real life. Well I was bored one day searching the web and I decided to look into huskies. Well pretty much every site I saw warned you to make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. I read so many articles and looked at a million sites. Then I decided I wanted one. I searched for puppies and came up with the website http://www.puppyfind.com. This site has every dog you can think of, and a million puppies. I was looking through the entire Husky's page and I saw him. He was so cute. In order to get a hold of the people you need to register. It cost a few bucks but it is well worth it. I was able to get so much info on the dogs. I got in contact with the owner and then took all the pictures I could of the puppy and his brothers and sisters. I also was interested in another litter, so I took those pictures home also. When Anthony got home I sat him down and started to talk to him about getting one. About a week earlier we were trying to get a rott/shepard mix pup but our apartment wouldn’t allow it. I explained how much one would cost and told him all the info. He looked at the pictures and really liked the all white one with the blue eyes. I was so excited. We agreed that we wanted that one.
We got him on May 2nd 2004. He was the cutest puppy I had ever seen. Everywhere we took him we received so many compliments. Even now that he is 9 months we still have people telling us how cute he is. We do agree he is very cute, but he is evil. Remember how I said the sites warned against getting one. Well they were right. Huskies are a handful. There are some days I think I was crazy to get one. He eats everything. The couch and chairs are ruined to the point of no fixing them. He eats the carpet, doors, clothes, and the walls. Also he is very smart and can open cabinets. We have to put a cooler with weights in it in front of the cabinet where the trash is. As much as he drives me crazy I still love him and would never even think of getting rid of him. He is so sweet most of the time. It is so cute when you get home if you don’t say hi to him first he starts to howl at you. He's all like "Hello I am standing here, Love me now!" It's so hard to be mad at him when he’s done something bad and I come home to it. And just think I want a whole sled team of Husky's. Maybe I am crazy.
